Star Wars Advent Calendar

Here is what FBTB (from Bricks to Bothans) are reporting:

Amazon has discounted 9509 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar down to the price it should have started at,$39.99, a 20% savings off of the $49.99 MSRP. I’m guessing not too many units moved at the old price. They’ll probably have tons left over post Christmas too if you’re patient and lucky enough.

I'm not surprised, the price tag is crazy in Canada it is going for $69.99 at Toys-R-Us.  Also I noticed the same price at a Toys-R-Us in the USA.  Honestly it's worth maybe $15-$20.00 There are so fe parts, It's the figures and the Licence that you are paying for.

Here it is , as I figured only worth the minifies, no the set. I kinda thought it would be a pizza truck,  but its very weak at that.

Personally I wont be seeing this in my collection , only if the figs become avail.  plus the fact in Canada it probably will sell for about $45.00  my guess, we will see when it comes out.

TMNT SETS !

Rumour has it that today at around 3pm EST in NY, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sets will be unveiled at the Comic-Con.  These sets are scheduled for the 2013 series of LEGO sets for the new year !   it will be interesting to see the minifies, and what building they include if any.
We really need to see is set of just figures . not having to get all the sets to collect the figs.  and my guess is that in order to get Master Splitter, you'll have to purchase the BIG set over $100.00  as is the case with most LEGO sets these days.

LEGO minifig pen review

Lego Store Experience

Lego Store Experience: (Warning)

Well I was at a Lego retail store this past week, and when I was finished shopping and paying, I felt like telling the clerk to take it all back. Usually they tape over the Pick-A-Brick cups.  I  had seven large cups full of assorted bricks and some cups were not for me.  3 were for my son, another for a friend.  When he put them in the bag, the covers all came off, and got mixed up. it was a huge mess.  He was like oh well that's the fun of it. I said " not really, they are not all for me, that ticks me off."  He had a (I couldn't care attitude), as long as he made the sale.  How I know that, I had heard him and the other employee talking about their sales for the day, while I was filling up the cups.  I went to that store because I had not been there before, and heard it was a nice store.  Well I won't be going back there, I'll go to the other store another 30 mins away.  and after driving 13 hours to get there, 30 mins is nothing.  To say the least I was disappointed in the store.   However I did purchase the stuff, and a large amount to say the least.  I guess when you go to get your Pick-A-Brick cups filled, take a ziplock bag with you, and put the whole cup with bricks in after you fill it up, so nothing gets all mixed up, put each cup in a separate bag.  If Lego made the cups with a screw on lid that would be better, but use the bag idea to save a huge headache after.
