Season 2 Brickisode 4 - The lost Episode from season one. It really was lost but I fixed it up for season 2. It is how to convert a clip on desk lamp and use it for LEGO animation videos lighting. TADA.

The Halifax area yearly Model train and hoby show will run nov 14-15 2009.
here is the Novalug post from Gail: For the 8th year in a row, NovaLUG will be displaying at the Dartmouth Train and Hobby Show at the Dartmouth Sportsplex. The show is Saturday November 14th 9 am to 4:30 pm(?) and Sunday November 15th 10 am to 4 pm. not sure on cost yet.

Spinal Tap relents, removes Lego video from DVD

Lego_600 Some companies have a funny bone. Others don't.

Take Lego Systems for instance. The makers of those block toys have stopped the legendary spoof band Spinal Tap from including on its new concert DVD a stop-action film using Lego pieces in a depiction of a concert performance of "Tonight I'm Going to Rock You Tonight."

Lego claimed that the 14-year-old who created the video had violated its copyright. Actually, the company doesn't care so much about copyright — it didn't complain after the White Stripes released this great video — but evidently the song's adult language was too much for the company.

Kia Kamran, Spinal Tap's intellectual property lawyer, says he believes the band's depiction is "fair use," but they took it out of the DVD anyway.

We bring a lot of news about onerous copyright protectors, so let's also celebrate one company that has embraced user-generated remix culture. Check out the Slap Chop remix making the rounds on late night television. The company behind the Slap Chop introduced its first mock-informercial spot on the product several months ago, featuring ubiquitous TV pitchman Vince Shlomi (aka ShamWow), and after DJ Steve Porter uploaded a crazy remix onto YouTube, the company had the good wits to ignore copyright concerns and ride the publicity by bringing it to television.

Ok, this has been a hecktic week

Ok, this has been a hecktic week, We have been very busy packing for the move, so not much filming got done, although I did get two more episdes almost ready to air except i have to add in a few small details which of course I have to film. Good news I found the cameras charge unit yeaahh!! now we can go back to DV film instead of the regular camera avi then converting thing going on. anyways, I have so many ideas its sinfull for season 2, also Season 1 dvd is ready for sale and hopefully maybe we can get a sponsor or 2 around here to help out a bit with the shows, that will make a big difference, but whatever. anyways ta for now, hopefully video up by the weekend or sooner.

Happy Labour Day

Happy Labour Day to all you bricksters out there! Be careful and be safe. I know usually this weekend marks the end of summer and the last big travel/camping weekend, but seems that summer only just begun so enjoy the rays while you can. (We love the amusement parks). I spent last years labour day weekend in the USA, Boston area and visited the Burlington Mall LEGO store. (MALL COP Movie was also filmed here.) The first LEGO store I was at, so we were in heaven, It was fun, my son and I had fun for the hour and a half spent there. Here is a few pictures to remember.

New Lego Watches out at TRU Canada

I was Toys-R-Us today and they had a few Lego brand watches Racers, Bionicle, City, Space Police $19.99 Can Each, not a bad price most come with a minifig or some other side build item, that can attached to the watch, since the band has studs, like the Star Wars watches.

AN AMENDUM to above: Sears also has one type watch available (Racers) in their Christmas WishBook 2009 Canadian Edition.
